Condo-Living in Winnipeg
Condominiums have come a long way from their infancy in the 1980's. Did you know that currently there are approximately 500 condominium projects in Winnipeg? They come in all shapes and sizes, from apartment style condos, to townhouses and even detached bungalows. Prices can range from a low of $60,000 to well over $1,000,000.
Winnipegers are buying condo's for a variety of reasons: Some are buying them as investments and rent them out. Others find them a perfect "starter" home. You can get a very nicely appointed condo for $140,000 whereas the same can not be said for many houses.
A 3rd group are the young urban professionals, who have decided to spend their time on their careers instead of home and yard maintenance. Also, retired people find the security of condo-living very attractive.
